ABOUT THE PROGRAM





The STEM-Computer Science Program is an integrated STEM curriculum designed for Ages 6 through 12. While traditional computer curricula cover older topics such as parts of a computer and Office Productivity apps, the STEM-CS Program introduces to students a new way of thinking, more focused on problem solving and developing new ideas for students. Coding exercises and character creations are integrated into the lesson plans, ensuring that the students work together and have fun while learning.



QUALITY CURRICULUM



The STEM-CS Program utilizes blended learning methods to encourage computational thinking, through the advancement of technologies. This type of program is built on a foundation of pedagogy that features learner-centered instruction, and emphasizes on problem-solving and teamwork.



AUTHENTIC ASSESSMENT



STEM-CS provides authentic assessment of its students, which is based on the skills performance of the students, and takes place in a natural learning context. A variety of data will be collected on an on-going basis during the course.



EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY AT WORK



The STEM-CS also uses a dedicated Learning Management System (LMS) from iCarnegie, as a learning platform designed to provide all stakeholders (from students, faculty, educators and administrators) with a single robust, secure and integrated system to created a personalized learning enviro
